Pidie Jaya Regency is the largest cocoa plantation center in Aceh, acting as a lifeline for thousands of local farming families. Downstream industrialization is promoted by developing small and medium-scale chocolate processing centers in Pidie Jaya. The cocoa products—ranging from premium cocoa powder and cocoa butter to local chocolate candy brands—are marketed nationally and at regional tourist sites, delivering direct, independent economic benefits to local farmers.
