Lhoknga Beach
Lhoknga Beach is a white-sand beach combined with limestone cliffs located in Aceh Besar, adjacent to Lampuuk Beach. The beach is famous for its straight coastline and strong sea winds.
Stable wind conditions make Lhoknga one of the best kitesurfing and windsurfing spots in Southeast Asia. International tourists regularly visit the beach to experience these water sports.
For families, the shaded areas under pine trees are perfect for picnics, beach volleyball, or enjoying fresh young coconuts. During low tide, small rock pools along the shore reveal unique marine life.
Around Lhoknga Beach, there are numerous traditional coffee shops and surf-camp style lodges. The beach is easily accessible via the smooth western highway of Sumatra.
