Pantan Terong Hill
Rubiah Island is a small, uninhabited island located directly opposite Iboih Beach on Weh Island. The island is surrounded by the 2,600-hectare Rubiah Marine Park, home to world-class coral reefs.
The marine park features hundreds of species of colorful tropical fish that swim close to divers, such as clownfish (Nemo) and angelfish. Branching staghorn corals thrive in these clear, shallow waters.
Visitors can walk around the island to explore the ruins of Indonesia's oldest hajj quarantine facility built during the Dutch colonial era. The island air is clean and quiet, with only the sound of sea breezes.
Along Rubiah Island's shore, simple food stalls serve local noodles, fresh young coconuts, and rent out underwater cameras. Crossing from Iboih Beach takes about 10 minutes by motorboat.
