Sarang Cave
Mount Geurutee Peak is a legendary high cliff area located on the border of Aceh Besar and Aceh Jaya. The highway winds sharply along the edge of cliffs directly bordering the deep waters of the Indian Ocean.
From the cliff peak, visitors enjoy spectacular views of small uninhabited islands in the blue sea, such as Kluet Island. The area is famous for its cliffside coffee stalls offering the experience of drinking coffee over the abyss.
A unique culinary attraction at Geurutee Peak is Kopi Khop, a traditional West Acehnese coffee served upside down on a small saucer with a straw. While sipping coffee, visitors can watch friendly long-tailed macaques.
Geurutee Peak is the most popular rest stop for travelers along Sumatra's western coast. Numerous emergency parking spots and viewing decks line the cliffs for taking photos of the ocean.
